Brazil launches police operation targeting organized crime, finance sector

Brazilian Minister of Justice on Thursday announced that the police have launched a vast operation in several states to dismantle a money laundering network that operated through organized crime groups and the financial sector. The network, active in the fuel sector, is alleged to have concealed about $9.6 billion in dozens of investment funds in four years to 2024.
