Modi to visit Japan & China for key summits

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Japan and China starting Thursday to attend high-level bilateral and multilateral engagements, Foreign Secretary of India said on Tuesday.

At the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, Modi will hold his first bilateral summit with the newly elected Japanese leader. During the two-day visit, Modi will participate in the 15th India-Japan Annual Summit, where both sides will review progress in the Special Strategic and Global Partnership, and discuss matters of regional and global importance.
