Ecuadoran authorities, with support from the U.S. Coast Guard, have seized more than ten tons of cocaine in seven maritime operations conducted over three weeks.

The seizures target drug shipments linked to international cartels that supply illegal drugs threatening the United States and partner countries. Since 2024, the government of President Daniel Noboa has intensified efforts against local drug trafficking and organized crime networks, which are engaged in violent conflicts for control of cartel operations.
