Gulf Singer returns to Carthage Stage after decades

The 59th Carthage International Festival concluded with a grand performance by a Gulf singer Ahlam Al Shamsi, marking her return to the historic Carthage Amphitheatre nearly 27 years after her debut. Her 150-minute concert featured almost 30 songs blending classic Gulf tarab and contemporary rhythms. A highlight was the reprise of a Tunisian classic she first performed in 1998, resonating with long-time festival attendees. The festival ran from July 19 to August 21, 2025.
