Dozens of flood alerts in place as heavy rain drenches

Torrential downpours are soaking parts of New South Wales. The widespread heavy rain has triggered flood warnings for large parts of the state. Moderate to major flooding is predicted for Tamworth and Gunnedah and minor to moderate flooding is predicted for river catchments on the Mid North Coast, Hunter, Colo and the Nepean River, south of Sydney. Many catchments are still wet from recent falls, increasing the risk.
