






South Korean firefighters, police and military personnel held an anti-terror drill in the city of Anyang as part of the annual Ulchi Freedom Shield joint military exercises between South Korea and the United States. The Mayor of Anyang said “this kind of training holds great significance in helping citizens prepare in advance and adopt the right mindset.
When an actual situation arises, they can respond immediately with proper evacuation procedures, ultimately protecting the safety and lives of people." The annual joint exercises began on Monday, and South Korean leader Lee Jae Myung described the drills as "defensive" and said they were "not intended to heighten tensions".
