US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders held talks on long-term security guarantees for Kyiv. Participants included leaders from the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Finland, the European Commission, and NATO.

The meeting urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to negotiate directly with Ukraine. Trump said he planned to speak with Putin immediately after the meeting and raised the possibility of a trilateral dialogue with Zelensky, warning that without such talks “the fighting continues.” British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the meeting produced two key outcomes — agreement for a coalition of 30 countries to coordinate with the US on security guarantees for Ukraine and the decision for a direct meeting between Putin and Zelensky, followed by a trilateral with Trump.
