Indian Prime Minister Modi warns terror sponsors

In his 12th Independence Day speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the country has adopted a new and uncompromising approach in its fight against terrorism. He made it clear that there will be no distinction between terrorists and those who support them.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the country has endured terrorism for several decades, and that the nation's heart has been deeply wounded by these acts. He emphasized that a new normal has now been established—India will no longer differentiate between terrorists and those who shelter or support them, declaring them all as enemies of humanity.

He further asserted that India has resolved not to tolerate nuclear blackmail any longer, which he said had persisted for too long. According to him, if adversaries continue with their provocations, the Indian military will respond decisively—on India's terms, at a time of its choosing, using the methods and targets it deems appropriate. He affirmed that the response will be strong and uncompromising.
