Meeting with Health Officials: MOH UM held a meeting with the health officials

Union Minister for Health, Professor Dr. Thet Khaing Win, attended a meeting with the rectors and professors/department heads from medical and related universities on the afternoon of August 6, 2025 and gave an opening speech at the event.

First, the Union Minister stated that the Ministry of Health has successfully nurtured and trained high-quality health human resources. He mentioned that they have expanded the universities by opening a Faculty of Medicine at the Naypyitaw State Academy, and have also provided necessary teaching buildings, recreation centers, student dormitories, and modern teaching aids. He stressed the need to build public trust in public hospitals and to work toward improving country's health indicators.

Afterward, Directors-General from the departments presented on the current situation of health human resource development and future action plans. The attending rectors, hospital superintendents, and professors/department heads also presented their discussions.
