Archaeological excavations have resumed at the ancient city of Limyra in Antalya, Turkiye. Known for its natural water springs and the partially submerged colonnaded street, Limyra attracts great interest from both domestic and international tourists.

Under the leadership from the Austrian Archaeological Institute, and included since 2023 in the “Heritage for the Future Project”, the excavations aim to shed light on the transformations the city underwent during the Hellenistic, Classical, Roman, and especially Early Byzantine periods.
