Inspection Tour: Chief Minister inspects flood prevention works in Loikaw

Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin inspected ongoing flood prevention measures in low-lying areas of Loikaw on Wednesday.

The Chief Minister observed embankment strengthening with sandbags, improved drainage systems, and road widening efforts near Bilu Creek.

The Chief Minister instructed to closely monitor water levels, issue timely warnings, and ensure quick response during emergencies. He also visited Bilu Creek (Shan Pine) Bridge and ongoing road expansion on Kyaw Khine Road, urging timely completion and proper standards.

The Chief Minister also observed water drainage and sandbagging in flood-prone areas of Dawnoeku and Namkut wards, and inspected the construction of concrete drains and water gates on Ngu Shwe Wah Road to ensure effective water flow and flood protection.
