Fish Stocking Ceremony: MoEA UM joined the fish stocking ceremony

The 2025 Fish Stocking Ceremony of the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs was held at the Ministry’s compound in Nay Pyi Taw on 14th July.

The event was attended by Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Khun Than Zaw Htoo and his spouse, Deputy Minister U Zaw Aye Maung, the Permanent Secretary, Directors General, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Deputy Directors General, and other officials and staff.

At the ceremony, Union Minister Khun Than Zaw Htoo and his spouse were the first to release fingerlings into a Check Dam within the Ministry compound. Subsequently, Deputy Minister U Zaw Aye Maung also released fingerlings, followed by heads of departments and staff members. It is reported that a total of 5,000 Rohu fingerlings, supported by the Department of Fisheries, were released during the event.
