Tree Planting Ceremony: MoRAC held Ministry’s monsoon season tree planing ceremony

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture staff family held its Monsoon Season Tree Planting Ceremony at the vacant plots of land at the corner of Thandaung Road and Thandaung (1) Road, Yatanar Thiddhi Ward, Ottarathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, and at the corner of Kyaukse Road and Lewe Road on July 14.

Union Minister U Tin Oo Lwin, Deputy Ministers, the Permanent Secretary, Directors-General, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Directors-General, and other officials attended. First, at the tree planting ceremony held at the corner of Thandaung Road and Thandaung (1) Road, Union Minister U Tin Oo Lwin stated that previous monsoon season tree planting events were held within the compounds of monasteries and the Ministry.

He explained that this time, the event was organized to plant trees in vacant plots within a residential ward in Ottarathiri Township, with the permission of the Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee. He emphasized that planting in residential areas makes maintenance easier due to their proximity to people.

The Union Minister then elaborated on the objectives and benefits of holding such tree planting ceremonies. Following this, the Union Minister, Deputy Ministers, the Permanent Secretary, Directors-General, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, and Deputy Directors-General planted trees in their designated spots.

The Union Minister then toured the area, observing and encouraging the officers and staff as they planted tamarind trees. Continuing the event, the Union Minister and officials arrived at the vacant plot at the corner of Kyaukse Road and Lewe Road, where they planted neem saplings in their designated areas. The Union Minister again observed and encouraged the officers and staff as they planted the neem saplings.
