Coordination Meeting : Meeting on preventing illegal fuel and goods transit held

A coordination meeting of the Scrutiny Task Force on Preventing Illegal Fuel and Goods Transit was held at the Mandalay Region Government Office meeting hall on July 14.

During the meeting, the Region Chief Minister delivered the opening remarks, stating that significant efforts are being made at city entry and exit checkpoints to stop the passage of illegal fuel and goods, while also ensuring a smooth and swift flow of legitimate commodities.

He emphasized that the Scrutiny Task Force has been formed to achieve these objectives and facilitate smooth operations, and therefore, tasks must be carried out effectively and successfully with security awareness and caution. He also stressed the importance of strictly adhering to existing laws and regulations and closely monitoring to prevent any acts of corruption.

Following this, the Region Minister for Security and Border Affairs discussed the current status of efforts to prevent the transit of illegal fuel and goods. Officials from the Scrutiny Task Force and relevant departments then presented their planned measures. Then, the Chief Minister coordinated the discussions and presentations before delivering his concluding remarks.
