Tree Planting Ceremony: MoSWRR UM led event by planting teak sapling

The Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement held its 2025 Monsoon Season Tree Planting Ceremony in the morning on July 14. The event took place next to Razasingaha Road, Hotel Zone (1), east of Star World Hotel. It aimed to promote environmental conservation, create a balanced and pleasant climate, mitigate natural disasters, and foster a green city.

The ceremony was attended by Union Minister Dr. Soe Win and his wife, Deputy Minister U Soe Kyi, Deputy Minister Dr. Than Soe and his wife, the Permanent Secretary, Directors-General, Deputy Directors-General, and other officers and staff.

First, the Union Minister and his wife led the planting by placing a teak sapling in its designated spot. Following their lead, the attending officers and staff continued to plant more teak saplings in various allocated areas.

After that, the Union Minister and Deputy Ministers observed and encouraged the staff as they happily participated in the collective tree planting. A total of 150 teak saplings were planted during this Monsoon Season Tree Planting Ceremony.
