Fish Stocking Ceremony: DPM MoPF UM joined the ceremony

This morning, the Ministry of Planning and Finance held its 2025 Monsoon Season Fish Stocking Ceremony at Mingalar Lake in Zabuthiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on July 14. The event aimed to increase fish resources in rivers, streams, and dams within the Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, prevent fish depletion, ensure the long-term sustainability of fish species in natural waters and lakes, and maintain a balanced ecosystem between humans and the natural environment.

Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein, Deputy Minister Daw Than Than Lin, departmental heads, and a total of 350 officers and staff attended the ceremony.

During the event, the Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister, the Deputy Minister, departmental heads, and other officials released over 20,000 fast-growing Rohu and Mrigal fish fingerlings into Mingalar Lake.

The Ministry of Planning and Finance reportedly holds this Monsoon Season Fish Stocking Ceremony annually.
