Rehabilitation Works : Inspecting road and bridge reconstruction in Nay Pyi Taw

Renovation works are underway for several road and bridge in Nay Pyi Taw, affected by Typhoon Yagi.

On Saturday, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development U Khant Zaw visited the reconstruction sites to oversee the work progress. He inspected a 900 ft bridge on the Wekyi–Winpyan  road in Pobbathiri Township, an ongoing 180 ft long submersible bridge on the Nyaungpingtha–Shar Taw road in Tatkon Township, a 300 ft long submersible bridge on the Ohnpin–Taungpotha  road and two RC bridges with 60 ft and 120 ft on the Kyitaungkan–Thayettaw road.

During the inspection, officials provided update reports on progress and temporary Bailey bridges set up for smooth transport flow. The Permanent Secretary emphasized completing work on time, following quality standards, and ensuring public safety.
