Socio-Economic Development : Visiting farms & meeting for economic support projects

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan and officials on Saturday visited Gantgaw Myine village farm in Myitkyina to attend a demonstration on collaborative monsoon paddy farming aimed at achieving target yields.

He encouraged farmers to follow correct techniques and supported them with fertilizers and pesticides. Later, the Chief Minister and party inspected local poultry farms, observing their operations and discussing market access. Veterinary supplies were also provided.

The Chief Minister also instructed for expanding operations using the State Economic Promotion Fund. In the afternoon, a coordination meeting was held with rural development project committees to ensure proper implementation of the third-year cycle of agriculture and livestock projects funded by the State Economic Promotion Fund. Officials provided updates on fund management, loan repayments, and future proposals to enhance local livelihoods through agriculture.
