2025 World Population Day : SAC Vice Chairman attends the ceremony in Nay Pyi Taw

The 2025 World Population Day ceremony was held in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday with the attendance of Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister, Vice Senior General Soe Win who is also the Patron of Central Census Commission.

The event was also attended by members of the State Administration Council, Union Ministers, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, deputy ministers, departmental heads, foreign diplomats, and invited guests. Following the opening speech by Vice Senior General Soe Win, Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing gave a presentation on this year’s motto: "Harnessing Population Data for Social and Economic Development."

This was followed by screening of an animation clip related to World Population Day. After the ceremony, the Vice Senior General Soe Win toured exhibitions and displays, commemorating the World Population Day.
