Road Closure: Some roads will be closed temporary on Martyrs’ Day

On 19 July, some roads in Yangon will be temporarily closed during the 78th Martyrs’ Day ceremony, according to the Yangon Region Government.

During the ceremony from 4 am to the completion of the ceremony, West Shwegondine Road will be closed from old Yedashe Road, Shwegondine Road from the Dhammazedi-Shwegondine intersection, Martyrs’ Road from West Shwegondine to U Htaung Bo Road and U Wizara Road from U Wizara Roundabout to the U Wizara-Dhammazedi intersection. Also, Natmauk Road will be temporarily closed from the Wingaba intersection and the Pho Sein intersection. Bogyoke Museum Road will be closed from the Ngahtetgyi Pagoda intersection and the Saw Maha intersection. Bo Cho Road will be closed from the ShweKyat Yat intersection from 5 am to 6 pm.

During the flag-hoisting ceremony at the Secretariat from 5 am to 6 pm, Theinbyu Road will be closed from Bogyoke Junction to Merchant Road intersection, Anawrahta Road from Bo Myat Tun Junction, Maha Bandoola Road from Pansodan Junction and Bo Aung Kyaw Road from Merchant Junction.
