Waso Robe Offering Ceremony: Mon State CM attended the ceremony

Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein attended the 15th collective Waso Robe Offering Ceremony, organized by the Mon State Government, held at the Tharthanabeikmandawgyi in Phet Tan Ward, Mawlamyaing on July 7.

The ceremony began with attendees observing the Five Precepts from the presiding Sayadaw of the Tharthana Mann Aung Wae Pyan သာသနာ့မာရ်အောင်ဝဲပျံ Monastery in Aukkyin အောက်ကျင်း Ward, Mawlamyaing. The congregation then listened devoutly to the Metta Sutta Paritta recited by the members of Sangha.

Following this, Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, the Chief Justice of the State High Court, members of the State Government, and state-level departmental officials collectively offered various donations and Waso robes.

After that, the ceremony concluded with the sermon delivered by the presiding Sayadaw of the Atula-yanaung အတုလရန်အောင် Monastery in Hlaing လှိုင် Ward, Mawlamyaing. Then, they performed the pouring of water to share merits for all the donations.
