Agricultural Development : Providing agricultural inputs and loans

Demonstration of Monsoon paddy cultivation and ceremony to provide fertilizer and crop loans were held at Oakpan village tract, Taikkyi Township of Yangon Region on 5th July with the attendance of Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein.

At the event, official from Taikkyi Township Department of Agriculture presented reports on the status of monsoon paddy cultivation in the district and directors from Departments of Agriculture, and Agricultural Mechanization elaborated on the work undertakings.

Then, officials from Myanmar Agricultural Development Bank and Myanma Insurance clarified disbursement of monsoon crop loan and insurance tasks. Afterwards, the Chief Minister instructed the necessities upon the reports. The Chief Minister and party then provided crop loans and fertilizers to the farmers.

Later, Chief Minister and party encouraged the demonstration of paddy cultivation using tractors and seeders, organic fertilizer and EM Bokashi, and then presented prizes to the winners who participated in paddy cultivation competition, using seeder.
