











A music concert celebrating the 100th anniversary of Mandalay University was held on Friday at MRTV Auditorium in Nay Pyi Taw. Union Ministers, government officials, former students, and invited guests attended the event. Before the concert, former Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Maung Ko donated 20 million kyats to support MRTV staff affected by earthquakes.
In addition, 8 million kyats in total, contributed by State Administration Council Chairman Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife, and the Ministry of Information to the Mandalay Myoma Music Troupe were also presented during the event. The concert featured performances by popular singers, along with traditional dance by students from Kyaukse private high school.
The show highlighted the cultural legacy of Mandalay through classical songs. Mandalay University, originally established as Mandalay Intermediate College on July 4, 1925, marks its 100th year in 2025. The Mandalay Myoama Music Troupe also celebrates its centenary this year. The concert was broadcast live nationwide as part of MRTV’s Friday Night Live Show.
