Rural Development : Union Minister inspects quality of rural roads and bridges

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe, together with officials, inspected the Materials Lab of Rural Road Development Department in Mingaladon Township of Yangon Region on Friday.

He observed the testing of soil, stones, sand, asphalt, and concrete used in rural road construction to ensure quality. The Union Minister emphasized the importance of regular lab checks and quality control for long-lasting roads and bridges. He also stressed the need for well-trained lab staff.

Additionally, he inspected Bailey bridge materials, machinery, and vehicles used in emergency repairs. He also instructed proper maintenance during the rainy season and preparation for smooth operations in the dry season.
