Sepak takraw competitions : Shan State CM awarded the championship trophy

The 2025 Shan State Chief Minister’s Cup Township-Level Men’s and Women’s Sepak Takraw Championship Final and Prize presenting Ceremony was held on June 30 at the State Sports Training Gymnasium in Taunggyi.

In the women's final match, teams from Pindaya Township and Monghsat Township competed, while in the men's final, teams from Taunggyi Township and Linkhay Township played against each other. Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, the Chief Justice of the State High Court, Patron of the Shan State Women’s Sports Subcommittee and wife of the Chief Minister, along with State Ministers and State Advocate General, attended the event and enthusiastically watched the matches.

In the women’s competition, Monghsat Township team secured victory with two straight wins, while in the men’s event, Taunggyi Township team emerged champion with two wins out of three matches.

During the prize presenting ceremony, prizes for Best Players by position, Best Players throughout the tournament, and Joint Third Place and Second Place for both men’s and women’s Sepak Takraw teams were presented by senior state-level officials, State Ministers, and the Chief Justice.

The first prize for the women's volleyball tournament was awarded to the Monghsat Township team by the Patron of the Shan State Women’s Sports Subcommittee and wife of the Chief Minister, who presented individual medals, cash prizes, and the championship trophy.

Likewise, the first prize for the men’s tournament was presented to the Taunggyi Township team by Chief Minister U Aung Aung, including individual medals, cash prizes, and the championship trophy. After the ceremony, all prize-winning athletes were warmly congratulated and encouraged.
