Tree Planting Ceremony: MOEA organizes a ceremony in Nay Pyi Taw

The Ministry of Ethnic Affairs held its 2025 Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremony at the office area of the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on 27th June.

First, Union Minister Khun Thant Zaw Htoo and Deputy Minister U Zaw Aye Maung planted the saplings at the designated areas. It was followed by tree planting of the attendees. The Union Minister and officials oversaw the tree planting process.

During the ceremony, Kantkaw, Padauk, Burmese ironwood and Tamarind tree saplings were planted.  Likewise, region and state directors’ offices under the ministry and National Races Village (Yangon) held tree planting ceremonies simultaneously.

On the same day, the Union Minister and party inspected the accommodation of staff families at Basha housings, oversaw installation of modular houses and condition of electricity and water access and coordinated necessities for the convenient accommodation of staff families. The Union Minister also provided basic foodstuff to the staff.
