UK startup looks to cut shipping's carbon emissions

In an audacious attempt to decarbonise shipping, UK startup Seabound is trialing using lime pebbles to suck up CO2 from exhaust pipes of cargo vessels. The project is still at an early testing stage and there are questions over what to do with the used limestone, yet the early signs are promising and its founders are in the running for Europe’s ‘Young Inventor of the Year award’ to be presented in Iceland’s Rekjavik on Wednesday 18 June.
