The Royal family appears in the Trooping the Colour parade

Britain's royal family appeared in the Trooping the Colour parade marking King Charles III's official birthday in London. Thousands have gathered to cheer on King Charles III, Queen Camilla and the Prince and Princess of Wales for the event. The annual tradition includes a military parade, music and gun salute.

This year the King has asked members of the Royal Family taking part in the parade to wear black armbands, as a mark of respect to the victims of the Air India plane crash. The royal family holds a minute of silence during the Trooping the Colour military parade, for victims of India's plane crash.
