Vice President Yılmaz says over 273,000 Syrians have returned home

Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz spoke at the opening ceremony of the “Voluntary Return Support Center” in Gaziantep, where he provided updates on efforts to ensure safe, voluntary, and dignified returns for Syrian refugees.

Yılmaz stated that more than 273,000 Syrians have returned to their country. He added that the number is expected to rise rapidly with the end of the school year and ongoing developments in Syria. Highlighting the regional impact of the changes in Syria, Yılmaz emphasized that Türkiye’s practices set an example for the world in terms of refugee law and ground realities.
