North Korea holds events marking Int'l Children's Day

Children took part in amusement games and perform at the Taesongsan pleasure park in the North Korean capital, Pyongyang, as part of the International Children's Day celebrations on 1 June. North Korea, China and other countries sharing socialist values have marked June 1 as International Children's Day, instead of May 5. North Korea is a signatory to the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child.
