India has mounted a strong presence at the 55th Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show in Sharjah, with 11 leading companies participating under the India Pavilion, organized by the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council.

The UAE remains a vital trade partner, with Indian gem and jewellery exports to the region surging over 60% since the India-UAE trade agreement. Running through June 1, the biannual event features over 500 exhibitors and expects more than 80,000 visitors.

Highlights include a 108-meter diamond necklace and workshops on global jewellery trends. Held at the 30,000 sqm Expo Centre, the event strengthens trade ties, design exchange, and market presence for Indian jewellers in the booming West Asia’s luxury sector.
