Quantum Technology Research Centre inaugurated

Indian Defence Research and Development Organization inaugurated the Quantum Technology Research Centre in New Delhi on Tuesday. The facility was inaugurated with an aim to further strengthen indigenous quantum capabilities for strategic and defence applications.

Spearheaded by Solid State Physics Laboratory, the center also focuses on foundational technologies including an Ultra-Small Atomic Clock for highly precise timekeeping in Global Navigation Satellite System-denied environments, an Atomic Magnetometer and Cutting-edge solid-state quantum devices and materials.
