Coordination meeting: Committee for sports and physical education held meeting

The Myanmar National Committee for Sports and Physical Education Coordination Meeting No. (1/2025) was held at the joint meeting hall of Office No. (31) in Nay Pyi Taw on May 26.

The meeting was opened with an opening address by Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung, who serves as the Patron of the Myanmar National Committee for Sports and Physical Education. In his opening speech, the Union Minister stated that the purpose of convening this meeting was to facilitate the emergence of new generations of athletes, to promote mass sports participation across states and regions, and to enhance competitiveness in sports tournaments at higher levels.

Following the opening remarks, Committee Chairman Deputy Minister U Htein Lin, Committee Secretary Director General U Myo Kyaw Thu, Joint Secretary Director General U Tun Myint Oo representatives from Nay Pyi Taw Council, states and regions, and the ministerial representatives and attendees discussed and presented issues and developments related to their respective sectors.

Later, Deputy Minister U Htein Lin addressed the points raised during the discussion, provided necessary guidance and coordination, and delivered concluding remarks.
