Chinese FM holds talks with Danish counterpart in Beijing

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen in Beijing to discuss bilateral relations and regional cooperation. The talks focused on strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between China and Denmark. 

During the meeting, Wang expressed China’s support for Denmark’s sovereignty over Greenland, referring to it as a matter of international respect and stability. The statement came in the context of previous remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding potential U.S. interest in acquiring the Arctic territory.
