Tour in Shan State: Visiting to Pangpet Steel Mill and Ayethaya Industrial Zone

Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than visited No.2 Steel Mill (Pangpet) in Taunggyi Township of Shan State on Saturday.

During the visit, the Union Minister met with the experts from Russian TPE Co., Ltd. who arrived at the mill for finalizing the installation of machinery at Air Separation Unit. The Union Minister highlighted the importance of Pangpet project which is the symbol of friendship between Myanmar and Russia.

After resuming the operation of No.2 Steel Mill (Pangpet) projects in 2021, experts from the Russian TPE Co., Ltd. came to inspect the installed machinery. Upon their findings, those which needs renovation are being carried out by the local skilled engineers.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister visited Shan Yoma Cement Plant and stressed for boosting production, while touring to view the production process. On arrival at the Maize Drying Factory and Solar-powered Power Plant project in Ayethaya Industrial Zone, the Union Minister emphasized for not to cause environmental damages and producing safe and quality products.
