Bernard Tapie statue unveiled outside Marseille's Velodrome Stadium

A statue of Bernard Tapie, the late French businessman and former president of Olympique de Marseille (OM), is unveiled in front of Marseille's Velodrome Stadium, among hundreds of fans.

The sculpture, created by artist Joel Vergne, depicts Tapie holding the European Cup trophy as he is lifted by former OM players, including Éric Di Meco, Marcel Desailly, and Didier Deschamps.  "He's here now for eternity, close to where he experienced his greatest happiness," says his son Laurent Tapie during the ceremony.
