To locally produce high-quality drugs and reduce reliance on imports, a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical factory jointly developed by Mongolia and South Korea has officially commenced operations in Mongolia. The project aims to replace imports by producing high-quality medicines domestically and eventually introducing them to international markets.
The factory has the capacity to produce 25 to 40 million injectable pharmaceutical products per year. It plans to manufacture more than 20 types of pharmaceutical products using advanced technology and offer them to consumers at prices 15–20 percent lower than current market rates.
