Bilingual Inscriptions in Osmaniye added to UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register. The 2,700-year-old Karatepe Inscriptions, located in Kadirli district, Turkey, have been inscribed in UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register. Found in Turkiye’s first open-air museum, the Karatepe Aslantaş Open-Air Museum, these inscriptions uniquely feature both Anatolian hieroglyphs and Phoenician script. The outcome of extensive studies on the bilingual inscriptions has led to this significant and gratifying recognition.
