80th Anniversary of the Victory concert

A gala concert organized by the Russian Embassy with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan was held in the capital of Turkmenistan at the National Music and Drama Theater named after Makhtumkuli. The event was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. That evening, the State Orchestra of Turkmenistan performed for the audience.

The State Choir of Turkmenistan performed together with the orchestra. The Friendship Choir of the joint Turkmen-Russian comprehensive school named after A.S. Pushkin also received a warm welcome from the audience.

The concert ended with the legendary “Victory Day” by David Tukhmanov – a real hymn to the immortal feat of the Soviet people. Turkmenistan made a significant contribution to the victory not only with human resources, but also with supplies of oil, cotton and food for the needs of the front.
