Prabowo welcomes Bill Gates at Merdeka Palace

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto welcomed the arrival of Bill Gates, the founder of tech giant Microsoft and a global philanthropist, at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday morning.

A meeting between President Prabowo and Bill Gates was scheduled to discuss a number of sustainable development initiatives—particularly in the areas of global health, nutrition, financial inclusion, and public digital infrastructure. Earlier, President Prabowo revealed Gates’ upcoming visit to Jakarta during a cabinet meeting at the Presidential Office, Merdeka Palace, on May 5.
