Huge dust storm sweeps into Iran, affecting millions

Iranian authorities closed schools and offices in seven western provinces on Tuesday as a dust storm from Iraq affected around 13 million people. Khuzestan, Kermanshah, Ilam, and Kurdistan provinces were hit hardest, with local officials citing high dust levels for the closures. 

Air quality in Bushehr was rated "poor for sensitive groups," with microparticles exceeding safe limits. Meteorologists confirmed the dust storm's origin in Iraq, urging residents to stay indoors and wear face masks. The storm has led to respiratory issues, with over 240 people treated in Khuzestan and nine fatalities linked to storms in recent days.
