Inspection of infrastructure projects: Shan State CM inspected infrastructure projects in Taunggyi

Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, accompanied by the relevant officials, inspected the ongoing maintenance work at Ga-naing Lake (3) in Kyaunggyi Su Ward, Taunggyi in the evening on May 5. The work includes stone lining of the reservoir retaining wall and dredging of the lake.

Officials from the State Irrigation and Water Utilization Department briefed the Chief Minister, who in turn provided additional guidance and instructions regarding necessary improvements.

Following that, the Chief Minister and officials visited a section of Asfalt Road in front of the Small Vehicle Parking Station in Taunggyi, where road widening works are planned. Officials from the State Roads Department explained the project, and the Chief Minister gave further instructions to the relevant officials based on the needs identified.

Next, the Chief Minister and party inspected several other sites, including locations designated for inspection gates, the planned site for constructing a parking area for large cargo trucks, a road realignment project at a steep and curved section of the city bypass road to reduce traffic congestion and accidents, and a pothole near the village entrance road.

An official from the State Roads Department provided explanations at each site, and the Chief Minister gave further directives to responsible departments. Finally, they inspected the concrete paving of the western ring road in Taunggyi.
