Iranian foreign minister Araghchi visits Pakistan

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in Pakistan on Monday for a day-long visit to hold talks with the country's leadership amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan following the recent Pahalgam terror attack.

During his stay, Araghchi is scheduled to meet President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar. The discussions will focus on regional developments, bilateral cooperation, and efforts to ease tensions between Islamabad and New Delhi.

The visit follows Araghchi’s recent offer for Tehran to mediate between India and Pakistan to promote dialogue. According to Iranian officials, Araghchi will also travel to India later this week as part of Tehran’s regional consultations.
