Collective blood donation: Mon State CM encouraged blood donors

In honor of the 79th Anniversary of Myanmar Fire Brigade Day, which falls on May 5, 2025, a collective blood donation event was held on April 29, at the No. (5) Defense Services 300-Bed Hospital in Mawlamyine. Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, the State High Court Chief Justice, state government ministers, departmental officials, and fire service personnel participated as blood donors. 

First, medical staff from the No. (5) Defense Services 300-Bed Hospital conducted necessary health screenings, blood pressure checks, and blood type tests for the fire service personnel from state, district, and township fire departments who volunteered to donate blood. 

Following this, Mon State Chief Minister, State High Court Chief Justice, and state government ministers observed and encouraged the blood donation efforts of 50 firefighters from state, district, and township fire departments. Donors were provided with tonic medicines, refreshments, food, and cash assistance as a token of appreciation.
