March of the Living for Holocaust Remembrance Day in Poland

Israeli President Isaac Herzog sets off with the annual March of the living from the site of the former Nazi death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau. The march takes place on Holocaust Remembrance Day, held each year in April or May in accordance with the Hebrew calendar, which is separate from International Holocaust Remembrance Day on January 27. 

At 10:00 AM local time, Israelis observed two minutes of silence for their Holocaust Remembrance Day, with traffic halting, pedestrians standing still, and daily life pausing in symbolic honor of all those who perished.
