





On April 24, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Kenyan President William Ruto met in Beijing to elevate their bilateral relations to a "new level". The two leaders pledged to strengthen China-Africa ties and promote unity within the Global South.
During the meeting, President Xi emphasized China's commitment to supporting Kenya's development, particularly through the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). President Ruto acknowledged the significant benefits Kenya has gained from its cooperation with China under the BRI, noting improvements in infrastructure and economic development.
The meeting resulted in the signing of 20 agreements covering various sectors, including science and technology, vocational education, e-commerce, water resources, intelligent transport systems, and railway development.
