Assessment on Damages: Rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing together with the Deputy Ministers and officials visited Immigration and Population Training School in Dekkhinathiri Township on April 23rd.

After meeting with quake affected departmental staff, the Union Minister inspected electricity and drinking water access for the staff and implementation of rehabilitation and reconstruction processes. He also provided foodstuff to the staff.

The Union Minister later proceeded to Kine Ka Lay Theikdhi Yadana Monastery and Shwe Nyaung Ta Pin Monastery in Zabuthiri Township and gave words of encouragement to the quake affected staff members who are currently accommodating at the monasteries and provided relief aids to them.

There, the Union Minister inspected the accommodation condition and arrangements for basic needs. Then, the Union Minister visited the blue-level Housings, and provided relief aids to the staff. He also heard reports on the damages caused by the devastating earthquake. The Union Minister instructed for timely restoration processes of the staff housing in collaboration with related departments.
