Search underway for man missing after reported shark attack off Israel's coast

A search operation is underway off the coast of Hadera, Israel, following a rare shark attack that occurred on April 21. The incident took place near Olga Beach, during a period when sharks are known to frequent the area due to warm water discharge from a nearby power plant. Witnesses reported seeing a man swimming with sharks before he disappeared from sight. 

Rescue teams have located human remains near the site of the attack. The remains have been sent to the National Center of Forensic Medicine in Tel Aviv for identification. The beach and surrounding areas have been closed to the public as a precautionary measure.
