Uplift the morale of personnel: MoE UM held a staff encouragement event

Union Minister for Energy, U Ko Ko Lwin, attended and delivered a speech at a staff encouragement event held at the Ministry’s Yadana Hall in Nay Pyi Taw on April 22.

The event was organized to uplift the morale of personnel affected by the major Mandalay earthquake. In his address, the Union Minister first warmly welcomed all staff back to work after the long Thingyan New Year holiday, expressing satisfaction that the ministry’s workforce had returned to duty in full attendance.

He acknowledged that all personnel in Nay Pyi Taw experienced the unexpected and intense earthquake that struck on March 28. He highlighted that from the very beginning, the Ministry of Energy promptly undertook both rescue and recovery efforts, and on March 31, established six formal committees including a Coordination and Communications Committee to systematically carry out these operations.

Additionally, to assess and restore damaged office buildings, housing, and construct temporary offices, the ministry formed an Infrastructure Inspection Committee on April 13, composed of technical experts, in cooperation with officials from the Myanmar Engineering Council.

The Union Minister emphasized the need for unity and collaboration, urging all staff to work together with dedication to overcome current challenges and continue carrying out their duties with momentum and commitment. Following the Union Minister’s remarks, the Deputy Minister also offered words of encouragement to the attending staff, it’s learnt.
