





Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe, accompanied by Deputy Ministers Dr. Zaw Myint and U Nay Myo Hlaing, along with officials, visited the site designated for constructing two-room Basha shelters for education staff and their families affected by the Mandalay earthquake.
The Union Minister and officials inspected ongoing land clearing and leveling work on April 21. During the inspection, the Union Minister instructed officials to ensure adequate road access around the site, build structurally sound shelters capable of withstanding rain and wind, prioritize health and safety standards, complete construction before May to allow relocation before monsoon season and assure electricity and clean water supply for relocated staff.
The Union Minister and party, then, proceeded to No. (18) Basic Education High School in Dakkhinathiri Township to assess earthquake damage. The Union Minister directed officials concerned to complete urgent repairs before schools reopen, prepare for potential extreme weather during monsoon, ensure smooth resumption of administrative work after the Thingyan holiday period.
Relevant officials were briefed on phased implementation plans, with the Union Minister coordinating additional support as needed.
